A very old tradition remedy. Our grandmothers would be happy if they could know that we are following their old remedies in the process of healing our body.
Vodka, gin or vinegar, it all depends on you.
One of the reasons I choose apple cider vinegar is that I like the taste of vinegar more than the wine and vodka, which I really hate the taste of it. So, I like to use apple cider vinegar as it tastes better and it is organic as well. For people that are old or have liver problem alcohol can not be the best choice either. Sometimes I have a feeling that my digestive system is a bit lazy, well sometimes we are all lazy in every aspect or our life, isn’t so? Gosh, digestive system has its own character as well. Don’t take it so personally what I am saying, just kidding.
Where was I, ohh yes to the point where we as mothers do, have to teach or help our bodies to be more active.
Some people may feel that are having a lot of gas, their belly bet bigger after eating even a small meal, or they may feel tommy ache like they are full up, some others can’t move and even want to have a nap or not being able to get concentrated for at least one hour.
✍️ Let me be honest with you my green souls, this remedy it doesn’t have an amazing taste but it is a gorgeous remedy for helping your digestive after the meal.
🚨Do not place it outside near sun rays, it is sensitive and can last for about six months but why not make a small amount so, you can consume it always fresh.
Herbs🌿
-Dried Roman Chamomile – Chamaemelum nobile
-Dried Cardamom -Elettaria cardamonum
-Dried Mix black pepper corn
-Fresh Ginger- Zingiber officinale
All the above have anti-inflammatory effect 🌿 isn’t it magic?
Equipments needed:
Clean Mason Jar 🏺 .
Kitchen paper-parchment (to cover the metallic lid, if the jar has metallic lid and not glass, if so don’t place anything on it).
Always label 🏷 the product you are making, after some time you won’t know what is inside and when was the exact date you made it.
Ingredients needed for a small amount: try this firs, after you can double the amount.
2 tablespoon roman chamomile.
8 cardamom pods.
5 mix black pepper.
3 slices of ginger roots.
Apple cider vinegar.
Preparation.
-Dried herbs (all the herbs I am using in this recipe are dried, fresh herbs contain water, but let's recall that water can spoiled it).
-Put all the herbs together and cover them with apple cider vinegar.
❌ Do not cover in up to the lid, leave a bit space to make its process!
Put the kitchen paper- parchment to the top of the jar and close the jar with the lid (so between the jar and lid it will be the kitchen paper, to not make any fermentation with the metallic material and the liquid).
-Always Label the jar with the date and ingredients.
-Shake the jar twice per day for one week.
-Separate the herbs from the liquid and keep the jar in fresh and dark place.
🗣 Result:
You can use this vinegar liquid, a teaspoon in a glass of water 250ml. It looks like as a lemonade but it doesn’t taste the same 😆. At this point you just shut your eyes and take it as a shot, in this scenario what else can I suggest 😆.
Take it before the eating (lunch or dinner). You can feel the difference at the first day. Less gas and you will feel the stomach less heavy.
All the photos above are taken by me and the tea picture on the left it's mint and chamomile tea but, the recipe I am sharing with you it doesn’t look like a tea. So, just to clarify 🙋🏻♀️ I am virtually inviting you for lunch in open nature, chatting about nature, herbs and life on earth.
Now let's have a look together why I place chamomile in this recipe. ✍️
Chamomile is always like the sun in a cold day. Very positivity, bitter herb, soothing, cooling and calm herb which I like to use it when I prepare balm, creams and bitter remedy as well. Chamomile has the ability to calm injuries, gives sleep in anxious nights, make a child happy at summer and also make an equilibrium with gut flora.
Do you know that chamomile it is knowing as the "Mother of the gut"? Well, voila! that's the reason I placed chamomile in this recipe.
Mixed Peppercorn/ because I use black pepper in all my dishes and I love the smell, taste and the spicy food. Because I like the ginger as it tastes spicy somehow. It is the best remedy for the upsets of the stomach.
